I recently moved all my clients over to an install of Wordpress Multi-Sites to enable them to have a single sign on for all their websites. I didn’t however factor in any problems that I’d face with doing this. It all went pretty smoothly to be honest with one or two problems that I’ll document on here.

I recommend everyone who is on shared hosting to try this new service, Cloudflare. It’s a free service that boosts your sites speed and security massively. They also do pro accounts for $20 a month with more features, but the free version will be fine for most people.

There are many companies that will try and sell you ‘Search Engine Optimization’ but will just add your website’s link to a few other people’s websites, this is not how SEO works. Although search engines like Google give you tips on how to improve your search ranking, they limit what they tell you in order for you to buy advertising or other methods. This generally doesn’t increase your sales or visibility due to other companies with possibly a larger budget doing the same and coming higher in the adverts than you. Also with adverts you have the possibility that you won’t be seen by the end user if they are using ad blocking software. The way to get business and visibility on the internet is through organic free links (or listings) on search engines. Google and others use algorithms, taking into account different aspects of your websites content, backlinks from other websites and other areas.
To spot the fraudulent “SEO” companies, they will tell you that they will improve your rankings in days or weeks, when in fact it can take months or years to make major improvements depending on the search terms wanted. We set out a plan for each keyword that the client requests to be shown highly for and employ our techniques to help push through past the other companies.
We don’t set any promises that you will be first for any keyword as this is sometimes nearly impossible, although we will try our best.
